Whanganui Riverboat Centre
The Whanganui Riverboat Centre houses the Whanganui Riverboat Restoration & Navigation Trust Inc. which salvaged and restored P.S. Waimarie. Built originally for the Wanganui Rowing Club, the large WRC on the front of the building now stands for Whanganui Riverboat Centre. Inside there is a museum filled with the riverboat history and surviving memorabilia that has been donated over the years. It also housed the first restoration stages of PS Waimarie, and is now home to MV Ongarue. You can visit the Whanganui Riverboat Centre Museum at 1A Taupo Quay, Wanganui New Zealand.
